dKomplex, Inc. Launches 4th Internship Cohort

Local Students Will Support New Research Initiatives

Monterey, CA (September 16, 2019) Five highly qualified students from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies and California State University, Monterey Bay kicked off their Fall internship. The interns will help establish new research initiatives that range from protecting U.S. national security from foreign influence to evaluating local workforce development programs established by the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA). The internship is made up of one and two semester-long opportunities to build in-demand skills, and gain valuable work experience.

Justin Loza, dKomplex’s founder and CEO, is seeking to leverage interns to help establish new business initiatives in propaganda analysis and program evaluation. "The current group of interns are interested to contribute to the growth of dKomplex while also learning valuable skills," said Loza, "I'm excited to provide an exceptional internship experience while pursuing new and exiting business ventures"

Propaganda analysis is a one of the new initiatives where dKomplex is committed to helping expose foreign actor influence campaigns in the U.S. and internationally in order to preserve truth and democracy. Directing the propaganda analysis line of business is a 20-year military information operations veteran with a specialty in foreign adversarial propaganda. Our research process emphasizes integrative teamwork, creative and critical thought, and rigorous measurement. We always aim to collect data with integrity and honesty.

Another research initiative will support WIOA projects with Program Evaluation. In this program dKomplex aims to help clients implement technology solutions and research methods that help prove and improve social change programs. dKomplex is a recent awardee on the WIOA Regional consultant pool which makes up 15 vendors who can provide the Coastal Regional Planning Unit (RPU) various consulting services to include program evaluation. Geographically, the RPU is made up of Monterey, Santa Cruz, San Luis Obispo, and Santa Barbara counties.

This is dKomplex’s fourth internship program, building on the success of a Fall 2018, Spring 2019, and Summer 2019 internships in collaboration with DevBlue Research, LLC, an IT consulting firm based in Washington, D.C.
