Justin Loza, dKomplex’s founder and CEO, is seeking a second cohort of driven, self-starters to learn content development skills for eLearning, training, and documentation projects and work toward contributing to new and ongoing client services. “We are values-driven, collaborative management consulting firm,” said Loza, “and we are looking for students with an interest in technology, business, and learning and to help build high-quality learning materials for enterprise-level software.”

Experiential learning is at the heart of the services dKomplex provides to clients, and interns should expect a similarly immersive experience in which motivation and curiosity are critical. “In order to design and deliver experiential training to clients, it is important to understand how it feels to engage with this type of learning,” said Loza. “A tolerance for ambiguity and a willingness to solve problems independently is so important.”

Additional benefits of a dKomplex internship include the opportunity to work on a small, diverse team and gain experience collaborating on a project. “My professors are always telling me how important working in groups is for my future career,” said Amber Clarke, a recent intern and business student at CSUMB. “With this internship, I had the opportunity to apply communication skills I’m learning in class.”

As part of their internship, students can expect to gain hands-on experience with the following industry-leading digital tools: Microsoft Dynamics 365, an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) solution used by companies like Adobe, Fender, and Macy’s; Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft’s suite of cloud-based apps, including Teams, a hub for team collaboration; Articulate 360, a powerful content authoring solution for developing custom, interactive eLearning courses; and Latitude LMS, a learning management system used to deliver eLearning courses and track user progress.

This is dKomplex’s second internship program, building on the success of a Fall business development internship in collaboration with DevBlue Research, LLC, an IT consulting firm based in Washington, D.C . Four interns from Cal State Monterey Bay and the Middlebury Institute of International Studies completed that program in which they learned software, project management, and business communication skills.
